What happens when I studied hard, made myself mentally and physically ready and did my test well, and yet I did not clear! And that too after submitting for a revaluation! I was pretty hopeful. But did not make it!
What should I do in such a case?
This happened today with one of my students. It’s painful and deeply distressing. I accept it. But deal with it. Cry a bit. Then stop. Accept. Buckle up your shoes and get up! GET UP AGAIN FOR THE NEXT SPRINT!
There is no way that you can clear the test without showing up for the next. Therefore, prepare for that. After one or two years, sitting in your lovely room in the country where you wish to go, you may think back and remember all these hurdles, these sweet and sour memories, which will offer a great courage to move ahead in your life.
I remember a student who took the test 9 times and came for further preparation for the tenth attempt. I still recollect her low voice and sense of humiliation to face the world thinking she is a failure. But, more than that, I respect and look up to her undefeated mind, her determination, her undeterred attitude. She had 3 school-going kids and a husband who had no job at the time we met. She always has been an inspiration for me. She cleared without appearing the 10th attempt. It was then the UK reduced the passing score for Writing from B to C+. You may call it luck or miracle. But what about the 9 tests she appeared back to back?
KEEP PUSHING OURSELVES! KEEP GOING!
Life is more than a mere grade!
